Xia Xiaotang, The famous conductor in China , principal conductor of
China Philharmonic Orchestra, principal conductor of China Youth Symphony
Orchestra, professor in conducting department of the Central Conservatory of
Music. He began to act as the general director of China Youth Symphony Orchestra
in 2005, won the golden prize of China International Conducting Competition in
2006, and began to act as the conductor of China Philharmonic Orchestra in
2007. He was invited to conduct France Besancon Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt

Lang Lang, Sun Xiuwei, Alain Lefèvre, Akiko Suwanai, Wang Yujia, David Fray,
Khatia Buniatishvili, Nelson Freire ,Anne-Akiko Myers,Xue Wei, Lv Siqing,
Ye Xiaogang, Guo Wenjing, Tang Jianping, and etc. In 2009, he conducted China
Philharmonic Orchestra and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra in the perform of works
by André Jolivet. Xia Xiaotang conducted China Philharmonic Orchestra in the
cooperative album recording of “Dmitri Shostakovich Symphonie No.10”,
cooperated with the singer Yuan Chenye in recording the album of “Wunderhorn”
by Mahler, worked with pianist Wang Yujia in producing the Third Piano Concerto
by Prokofiev, and recorded the album of “Concierto de Aranjuez” together with
guitar performer Yang Xuefei. Xia Xiaotang is also the prior conductor to
collaborate with for many famous domestic singers. Song Zuying, Dong Wenhua,
Zhang Ye, Yan Weiwen, Tong Tiexin, Liu Bin, Dai Yuqiang, Weisong, Mo Hualun, Li
Danyang, Wu Bixia, Zu Hai, and Wang Lida have all cooperated with him.
Moreover, Xia Xiaotang is a designated cooperative conductor for the Three
Tenors of China. At present, Xia xiaotang has 50 concerts a year in the world .In 2013,
he participated in the performance of “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring”
organized by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, holding many
tours successively with Song Zuying and other famous Singers along the east and
west coasts of America.
Xia Xiaotang is currently serving as the general
music director of the "Triple Senior" Symphony Orchestra.
"Triple Senior" Symphony Orchestra is consisted of senior national
cadres (Minister and above), senior military officers (Major and above), senior
professors (tenured professors and full professors). In the performance in
December 2012 at the National Center for the Performing Arts, a number of
national leaders and over a hundred foreign ambassadors attended and spoke
highly of the conductor. The concert went unprecedentedly successful. Now Xia
Xiaotang is leading the "Triple Senior" (now renamed as Starry Sky
Symphony Orchestra), vigorously promoting and disseminating classical music in
China, and actively promoting "Musicalizing China".
As
the principal conductor of China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Xia Xiaotang has
been committed to the building and developing the orchestra, leading the
orchestra to hold hundreds of concerts in cities both at home and abroad, as
well as to go on tour in Europe for many times. In 2008, they went to Seoul for
the performances of Richard Strauss's "Don Juan" and Rachmaninoff's
"Second Symphony", winning warm tears from the audience with their
passion and profound musical performance. Recent
years
Xia Xiaotang led the orchestra to perform in London, Vienna,Berlin,Geneva,Krakow,some
city. In recent years, they have performed in National Centre for the
Performing Arts Mahler's "First Symphony," "Fifth
Symphony", Beethoven's "Fifth Symphony", "Ninth
Symphony," Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique", Richard Strauss’ “Till
Eulenspiegel" and " Ein Heldenleben ", Debussy ‘s “La Mer” and
other large-scale symphonic works, with rigorous, accurate, passionate, and
unrestrained conducting style. Every show left many wonderful moments of
extraordinary excitement, widely praised by musicians. Many mainstream media
have reported him, calling him "highly gifted conductor", "every

2nd Prize winner of
the 2008 Dimitri Mitropoulos International Competition, Singaporean conductor
Joshua Kangming Tan’s rise to prominence on the international scene has been
marked by recent sensational debuts in Carnegie Hall, Philharmonie Berlin,
Mariinsky Hall, Shanghai and Taiwan. Joshua has been appointed Assistantt
Conductor of the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) Orchestra starting
2010. Joshua was featured as the top Singaporean musical talent to watch for in
2009 by the Singapore newspaper, Lianhe ZaoBao. He has won numerous awards and
scholarships, including the Bruno Walter Memorial Foundation Award, NAC-Shell
Scholarship and is the first ever recipient of the Charles Schiff Conducting
Prize from the Juilliard School for outstanding achievement.
Joshua has come to
the attention of the leading conductors of today and has studied with James
DePreist, Charles Dutoit, David Zinman and Kurt Masur. Other conductors he has
worked with include Michael Tilson Thomas, Ingo Metzmacher and George Manahan.

Yang
Yang, born into a musical family, learned piano with Professor Qifang Li.
Later, he learned conducting respectively with Professor Xin Xu and Lingfen Wu,
and then was admitted to the Conducting Department of Central Conservatory of
Music, being one of the students of Professor Feng Yu.
As one of the most active young conductors in China, Yang Yang has maintained
close partnership with all domestically and internationally mainstream
orchestras and opera houses. In 2009, he was involved in founding of
Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. From 2009 to 2012, Yang Yang had conducted
Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra for nearly 200 splendid concerts in three
seasons. According to the demand of CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and
Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government to develop the culture and with Yang
Yang’s planning and devotion, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra had founded a
long term strategic and cooperative partnership with Germany Berlin Philharmonic
and Italian Florence Opera House, and been growing fast in professionalism and
internationality by introducing Musician Exchange Plan, Talents Oriented
Training plan and Opera Cooperation System. In three years, Yang Yang and
Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra had successfully appeared in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival,
Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Ravello Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival,
Taormina Festival, Ljubljana Festival, and won great applause and high

Born in Taiwan, Pan Yici started her cello study at the age of ten. In 1998, she was admitted by the top-ranking Tainan National University of the Arts Music Department. In 2004, Pan was accepted into Hochschule fur Musik Hans Eisler Berlin. Seven years later, she pursued her Konzertexamen study at HFMTHamburg. Her incredible performance was awarded the best prize of Competition of Elise Meyer Foundation and critically acclaimed by all international judgers in 2012. In July of 2013, Pan Yici earned a Konzertexamen from HFMT Hamburg upon highest honor. She currently is embarking on her career as cello principal in Guiyang Symphony orchestra.

Yunzhi
Liu is the Honorary President and Honorary Concertmaster of Guiyang Symphony
Orchestra,the concertmaster of the China National Symphony Orchestra(CNSO), a member of the Chinese People’s
Political Consultative Conference. He began his violin studies with his father
at the age of four and first appeared on stage when he was only eight years
old. Mr. Liu graduated from Jilin College of Arts with a literary degree with a
focus on music. Noted for being an excellent student, he attracted the
attention of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1985, he joined the Central
Philharmonic Orchestra - the forerunner and original name of the China National
Symphony Orchestra.
For
more than ten years, Yunzhi Liu has been concertmaster and soloist of the China
National Symphony Orchestra. He has been exceptionally active on stages both
home and abroad. Besides his frequent tours in China, including Hong Kong,
Macao and Taiwan Province, he has also toured many countries and regions with
the orchestra. His tRAVELs have taken him to USA, United Kingdom, Germany,
Austria, Portugal, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Australia, where he gained much
admiration and respect for his skills. He is well known for his performance of
the violin concertos of TCHAIKOVSKY, Mendelsson and other composers’ works. In
Europe, his interpretation of Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto received
enthusiastic ovations from many audiences. Yunzhi Liu has given numerous
impressive concerts with many music masters including Seiji Ozawa, Yehudi
Menuhin, Charles Dutoit, Kurt Masur, Isaac Stern, Martha Argerich, Mutter and
Krzysztof Penderecki. The masters all praised him as “one of the best
concertmasters” they had ever heard.
Yunzhi
Liu’s versatility includes being an outstanding chamber music player. The
string quartet of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra, with Yunzhi Liu as the
principal violinist, enjoyed an exalted reputation both in China and abroad. In
1990s, the quartet toured Europe to take part in many international music
festivals and was highly commended by music circles. In 2000, Yunzhi Liu
pursued his advanced studies at Munich Conservatory under the guidance of the
famous violinist Erno Sebestyen. He was complimented as “a violinist with
brilliant understanding and skills, who would play an active and important role
in any orchestra he joins.”
Great
success of the China National Symphony Orchestra touring in the US 2006,Liu’s solo performance in Rimsky-Korsakov’s“
Scheherazade”was highly appreciated by the audience. A review by famous
American conductor and musicologist Maurice Peress was as “…I was especially
impressed by the aristocratto solo violin playing of the concertmaster, Yun-Zhi
Liu”.The American well-known music critic Bernard
Holland quoted In 《New York Times》 as “…with equally first-rate solos from the orchestra’s
concertmaster Yun-Zhi Liu.”

Rico Saccani
RICO SACCANI most recently served as
Music Director/Artistic Adviser of the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra and was
principal guest conductor of the Hungarian State Opera. He won top prize in the Herbert von Karajan
International Conducting Competition in Berlin.
He was immediately engaged to perform with the Berlin and Stuttgart
Radio Orchestras, the Royal Danish Philharmonic and the Spoleto Festival. His
opera debut came in 1985 in Verdi’s Un Giorno di Regno at the Teatro
Filarmonico di Verona. La Traviata at
the Paris Opera and the Vienna State Opera, Il Turco in Italia at the Rossini
Festival in Pesaro plus La Bohème at the Philadelphia Opera with Luciano
Pavarotti for the PBS American television network immediately followed.
He has returned on numerous occasions
as a guest conductor with the most important symphony orchestras around the
globe. He has also worked with many of
the world’s greatest solo artists.
Maestro Saccani has also appeared at the Hamburg State Opera, the Lyon
Opera, the Monte-carlo Opera, the Arena de Nimes Festival, the Paris Opera
Comique, Rome, Dresden and Cologne Operas.
He made his Metropolitan Opera debut in Il Trovatore and re-engaged for
the first international radio broadcast of Traviata and Aida. He was also
invited to conduct at the Teatro San Carlo (Naples), the Arena di Verona
(Rigoletto), the Houston Grand Opera, the Puccini Festival Torre del Lago
(Turandot), the Teatro Bellini di Catania (La Favorita and I Puritani) as well
as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Avenches Swiss Festival and the
Santander Summer Music Festival in Spain.
Maestro Saccani initiated a “Verdi Marathon” in the Hungarian State
Opera house in January 2000 celebrating the Millennium where he conducted seven
Verdi operas in 9 evenings. He returned to
New York’s Carnegie Hall and Washington’s Kennedy Center that same year with
the Iceland Symphony as their Music Director on their acclaimed North American
tour.
In 2005 he received Hungary’s Legion
of Honor award recognizing his “distinguished contributions to Hungary’s
cultural life for over 20 years”.
